Madam
& Eve is probably South Africa's most popular cartoon
strip. The strip is currently syndicated in 13
publications and read by over 4 million people everyday.
Madam & Eve takes a humorous look at the daily lives
of two people from very different |
|
backgrounds
as they experience life in post-apartheid South Africa.
The strip's main characters have become icons of a
changing South Africa, providing light relief through the
days of transition to democracy in 1994.. |

Peace Parks
Foundation of course talks about peace parks or then TFCAs. The
abbreviation TFCA stands for Transfrontier Conservation
Area.
The Southern
African Development Community (SADC) Protocol on Wildlife
Conservation and Law Enforcement of 1999 defines a TFCA as "the
area or component of a large ecological region that straddles
the boundaries of two or more countries, encompassing one or
more protected areas as well as multiple resource use areas".
The Protocol commits the SADC Member States to promote the
conservation of shared wildlife resources through the
establishment of transfrontier conservation areas.

Gauteng and the North West in South Africa.
We invite you to explore the amazing finds that have led leading

that humankind
first appeared in this corner of Africa
from there spread out to
populate the world.
Meet the famous "Mrs
Ples" and the amazing "Little Foot",
the 3.3m year old skeleton that could be the
missing link
between hominids (human beings) and apes.
And while here, learn more
about the other attractions
that the World Heritage Site area has to
offer to visitors
from other parts of the country and the world". |
